"You can learn a lot of things from the flowers..."

Spring has sprung! If not in England where it is cold and wet, then it certainly has on the catwalk; Spring/Summer is mainly dominated by powder pastels and soft neuterals, but if you don't want to be a wall flower, then take inspiration from Alexis Mabille's couture collection (above montage).

Colour blocking to the extreme, this couture collection gives striking feminine hues to a woman's office wear. However, if this look is too strong for you, try working floral headpieces and alice bands - channel your in Alice when she falls down into Wonderland and sings with the flowers. More innocent Disney flora than the sinister Tim Burton interpretation.

Layering and mixing colours is key to making this trend into a micro trend for your hair; you can create your own individual look by buying false flowers from your local market, doing a cut and stick project with an old alice band.

Go wild like garden flowers and express your inner artist!

It's Fashion Intern Barbie!

Hey guys and dolls!

So, here is my exciting news; I'm in my second year of my Fashion Marketing course at Northumbria University, and part of our course is a year out placement module. Since January has started so has my year out!

I had an interview in early December for a PR agency in London called Blow PR, and I got it!!! XD I will be interning with the company for three months starting tomorrow! Exciting times ahead my dolls as I get to work at London Fashion Week in February.

Here is the link to Blow PR - check out their extensive client list, many of which are new up and coming talent, as well as shoe wear designer Underground which Rihanna wore on the XFactor this year, and jewellery designer BJORG who I adore!
Look at the beautiful pieces made by BJORG!?! Both are taken from their Odyssey collection.
You can achieve the BJORG look for less with similar jewellery from Topshop in Oxford Circus; I bought a spine cylinder ring from there as a treat after I found out I had got the internship!

I'll keep you posted about how the internship goes this week, as well as the up coming trends this season and my love for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!

Hope you are all well my dolls.

The ghost of a Doll

Hey guys and dolls!

Where have I been the last three months???
My sincerest apologies to all my blogging friends and avid readers, I know my absence may have been a bit worrying and random. My explanation is that just after my last post I moved back to Newcastle for University and became very ill with my condition :( and on top of that, our coursework load had increased dramatically and it all became too much for me.

BUT, I am well now, back to blogging and life as before! All back to my crazy fashionista self and happy to start 2012 on a high note.

I will be posting some exciting news tomorrow so watch out!
